DHBC was founded in 1433 H/ 2011 at Birbhum, West Bengal as an Islamic Institution aiming to produce a new generation of Muslim scholars capable of bearing the privileged responsibility of Islamic propagation in modern era. It is now considered as a private Islamic University with international recognition from various Islamic university boards.

DHBC creates an academic and intellectual environment where Islamic religious education and modern forms of knowledge are integrated and applied together based on the contextual needs. Through rigorous and continuous training (tarbiyah) and good scholarship teaching (ta’līm), it aims at better understanding of Islam from its cultural and civilization dimensions. This process is reflected in shaping scholars who are grounded in Islamic tradition and conversant to the modern currents which shape the human understanding of the world. It ensures the act and practice of propagation (da’wah), through advancement of academic excellence in integrated learning, teaching, research and publications. Moreover, engaging with social endeavours like upbringing minority communities through education, empowerment of women, enhancement of mutual understanding among people of different religions, ideologies, cultures, nations, and sects are among its outreach activities. To make its graduates bright in all such activities, DHIU has adopted a comprehensive curriculum which comprises both religious and secular subjects, giving them a robust theoretical and practical foundation in whatever they perform.

We are really honoured and proud to have been a torchbearer of an integrated education system at least in North Indian hinterland, Bengal by implying an impact among the community within a short span of time. Alhamdulillah, it is the 10th year after its foundation, we have much support from different sources. Apart from that, we are now receiving much bolster from different educational institutions and they are also giving us offers to affiliate with us. Its moot purpose was to entrench a systematic expansion of the educational transformation process in Bengal by actively involving underprivileged Muslim community in the holistic areas of Bengali hinterland. As its first practical initiation, Darul Huda Bengal campus implemented the Hadia Maktab system in Bengal also. And now, we can say audaciously that we have more than 111 active Maktabs in different districts to ensure the reach of our Islamic propagation and to leave no corner in Bengali land unexplored and filled it with extensive light of Islam. Moreover, we have a broad network of 4306 students in different Maktabs in 8 regions.

At present, we have produced a bulk of milestones that we have covered throughout this decade. Our brilliant students are now engaged in a couple of social empowerment programs and Edu-village missions along with their academics. In addition to that, we have an extraordinary Educational institution, namely, Darul Fouz which is playing its crucial role in moderating the rural underprivileged students from different villages. Moreover Darul Fouz English Medium School is also one of our remarkable achievements. Our brilliant students are not only engaged in their mere academics, but they also organise diverse cultural and public awareness programs and seminars and so on. As an institution with a mission and vision, Darul Huda Bengal Campus is committed to lead a social transformation within the community, by serving them for the sake of God, not compromising the principles and traditions.
